[ Jayden actually does come from a world with a gift-giving winter holiday! She just... forgot to mention as much. Oops? Honestly, it's because she usually doesn't care. But this year, it's different.

So! Outside of Takeshi's door, there is now a rather large stuffed panda. It stands pretty well on its own, but is also super soft and squishy! And there's a note tied to its paw, that simply reads: "To Takeshi, Happy Dawning - Jayden"

[ Oh my God jdjfksl!!! She was NOT expecting that, and practically jumps in place!! But then she realizes what's going on, and just huffs out a breath of a laugh instead as she answers. ]

The Dawning is a holiday back home. You decorate with lights, play games, give people gifts, reflect on the past... things like that.

[He claps his hands together and considers this with all his usual excitable interest.]

That sounds so fun! It's kinda like Christmas!

... How come we haven't decorated the ship for that stuff, anyways...

[ Oh look, another Christmas mention... It always seems just vaguely familiar whenever someone talks about it, that Jayden's just beginning to assume that Christmas was a thing in her past life. Because that makes sense, right? Sure. ]

Probably because time's weird here. Easy to forget when dates are. [ She pauses for a second, considering. ] Could always decorate the ship late, or decorate it for something else to make up for it.

Mmm... I think in my world it's Crimson Days - which... someone told me is like Valentine's. [ Or something like that? Bungie is weird. ] What about for you?

... I think that sounds familiar...

Isn't that where people get chocolates, and stuff? And there's lots of hearts?

Yeah, that sounds right. I think some people get flowers too? I mean... in my world, there's usually a combat tournament. Two versus two. But last time I mentioned that, I got the feeling nowhere else does that.

People fight on Valentine's Day?! That's not sweet and romantic at all!

Not really. But I guess maybe someone out there thinks a good date idea is you and your partner going head to head with some other couple.
